1. What’s your story? How did you become an expert in healthcare?

I think we can do a better job of using technology to help people, particularly when it comes to their health. I met Cara Care while I was the Chief Digital Officer at Bayer A.G., and was impressed by their dedication to helping patients struggling with GI health.

2. Where do you see digital health offerings moving in the next five years?

We are moving towards increased integration in digital health, with the individual getting more control of their own health information. It’s an important step as we evolve towards a learning healthcare system, where my interaction with the health system today improves your interaction with the health system tomorrow.

3. You’re a board member and advisor at Cara Care. What do you think is something unique that Cara Care offers?

The Cara Care approach improves both outcomes and access, while reducing costs. That’s unique. And it's what every digital health company should be striving towards.
